Newborns…Greetings & Salutations! It seems like forever since I’ve commented on a podcast…but I still listen every time, and you gals crack me up every time! Kudos!
Since I finished this last podcast JUST as I got to work, I thought I’d leave a comment while it’s still fresh in my head! I can’t wait to see the Hillywood BD Parody. Haven’t seen it yet so it was hard for me to follow what the comments referred to, but I’ll watch it along with the commentary later.
I liked the crazy-long tangent you went on about Vampire Souls. Not that Twilight is uber-profound, but it’s fun to theorize on some of these things! In my opinion, i think the vampire soul is still trapped in their bodies, not “moved out” like the Walkers (BTW Christen…LOVE your references to the Walking Dead. Me and the Husband and HUGE fans AND we love the Talking Dead too. Chris Hardwicke is totally ADORKABLE and I wanna’ skruntch him!) But, yeah, I think they still have a soul even if their body functions differently than humans. I think that is why Carlisle is so adamant about not killing humans, despite the fact that it is there nature, b/c he is trying to retain that humanity in his soul and his family’s.
Oh…and Vamps and fire..according to S. Meyer’s, her Vamps can’t catch fire unless their venom is exposed to fire b/c it’s highly flammable. But b/c their skin is so hard and heals so quickly, it’s almost impossible to get to the venom. They basically have to be torn into pieces so that the fire can ignite the venom. So that’s my bit of Twilight geekery.
Thanks for keeping the Twilight flame alive with all your humor and saucy commentary! Have a great Spring!!

Great stuff, Lara! Thanks for continuing to listen – we’re glad we can entertain!
Thanks for the thoughts and the comments. I wonder if a vamp could tear him or herself apart in order to catch flame. Hmm…
By the way, I totally love Chris Hardwick too. If only we could start a Talking Newborns after show…. I gotta go call Melissa Newborn. 😀
Thanks again!
