Warm Bodies Soundtrack in Order of Appearance

Warm Bodies Soundtrack in order of appearance

Warm Bodies Soundtrack in order of appearance

Christen Newborn interrupts this regularly scheduled Twilight programming…

As a special treat, since I can’t  shut up about Warm Bodies, The Newborns bring you the soundtrack songs in order of appearance in the movie along with quotes and action descriptions of the scenes in which they appear.

Sadly, the soundtrack doesn’t officially exist, but if you’d Iike to create your own, now you have the tools and the knowledge. Happily, the Warm Bodies Score (here on Amazon) does officially exist for download.

WARNING: this post and the score descriptions contain spoilers!

1. Sitting In Limbo – Jimmy Cliff
“You were a janitor….”

2. We Wish You a Merry Christmas – John Robert Foster
“It must’ve been so much better before when everyone could communicate their feelings and enjoy each others’ company.” (Via electronic devices, of course.)

3. Missing You – John Waite
Sad, lonely R in his airplane. I especially like the application of “my frozen heart tonight” lyric for a zombie. I doubt that’s what John Waite had in mind. Also R sees Julie for the first time (as she’s trying to shoot him with her badass shotgun).

4. The Bad In Each Other – Feist
R and Julie set out on their collision course. Nora thinks that’s “Sweet!”

5. Be the Song – Foy Vance
R relives Perry’s childhood memories of fireworks with his dad and Perry’s relationship with Julie by eating his brain. “I think I love you too, Julie.” Perry looks suspiciously like Edward in the meadow.

6. Concerto in A Minor for Flute, Oboe, Strings and Continuo RV 522: Allegro – Symphony Orchestra INSO Lemberg / Gunhard Mattes / Maya Schaufelbühl
Perry has dinner with Julie’s dad. “Well Julie without the wall we’d be eating brains now instead of rice.”

7. Patience – Guns N’ Roses
R gives Julie a blanket and tells her he’ll “keep…you….safe.” Julie asks “what ARE you?” And R’s heart beats for the first time in awhile.

8.Shell Suite – Chad Valley
R and Julie take the convertible for a spin on the tarmac. R crashes. “Jesus R  this was a beautiful car!”

9. Hungry Heart – Bruce Springsteen
Julie grooves to R’s records and R makes the twirly motion. He wuv her. Playing with sunglasses, zombie DVDs, and trying out the slap game. Marcus thinks something is up.

10. Shelter from the Storm – Bob Dylan
R tries to comfort Julie for the death of Perry. Julie asks again “what ARE you?” R thinks “Man it must be nice to sleep. I wish I could. I wish I could dream.”

11. Hinnom, TX – Bon Iver
R and Julie drive in the rain after the escape from the airport Bonies.

12. Yamaha – Delta Spirit
Julie bails on R while he has his first dream in awhile. R thinks “so much for dreaming.”

13. Rock You Like a Hurricane – Scorpions
The zombies set off to get Julie back and protect her from the Bonies. Marcus: “They said…. F*** yeah.”

14. Oh Pretty Woman – Roy Orbison
“Would you change this song please?” “What? It’s funny.” “No it’s not.”

15. Midnight City – M83
R gets all dolled up to meet Julie’s dad. “Hold up…you look hot!”

16. Runaway – The National
“As for us, we kind of learned how to live again. The humans began to accept us, connect with us, teach us. This was the key to the cure.” ”I have, uh, zombie fingers. Now you’re supposed to say I’m pretty too.” The walls come down.

17. Numbers Don’t Lie – The Mynabirds
The credits are rolling. I love these lyrics. “Baby if you wanna be right, I will let you be right, I will let you be right.”

Also, check out the Warm Bodies Score!

We LOVE this soundtrack. What’s your favorite song?
